So, Over the years I've managed to accumulate a large number of #email accounts. Most of them I don't need any more, so I deleted them, but a few are associated with things I still need, and can't switch emails with.I realized that you can forward emails to other accounts by default, so I set up forwarding, set up labels and filters on my main account...How in hell do I get SO much email? When it was spread out it was easy... All together? Oh my GODDESS!

@jjThat's basically how I've been doing it so far. I've just been collecting #newsletters apparently. Some of them are the same newsletter coming in to different accounts... I've spent a day #unsubscribing, and it's better than it was, but wow.

I removed #pulseaudio from my PC. Then I installed #pipewire. Then I realized I don't actually know if that did anything... #ALSA seems to work just fine? Oddly, I plugged my kindle into the line in, and it just worked. It took forever to figure that out with pulse. I dunno if that's testament to ALSA or pipewire... Honestly. Sound is freaking confusing. I should just leave it alone...

Since I gave up on synapse, I spun up a mastodon instance. First try. No issues. I think I just don't like chat programs. Too instant! I need time to think about what I'm going to delete instead of posting!

@rosnovsky Man. My old laptop had hybrid graphics, this was back in like 2009ish maybe? I remember bumblebee was the only option, and it was a NIGHTMARE to get working...The archwiki has a whole thing on it now, I read through it the other day for the heck of it... More options by the look of it, but I think it looks MORE confusing than it did back then.Good luck! (That laptop is still running by the by. My kid uses it to play slime rancher. Hah.)

I wonder if the #manjaro stuff is how #debian users felt when #Ubuntu first started getting popular? I see it everywhere, and I want to be happy that someone is pushing #arch based stuff forward... But all I can think is... Why not just use arch, and not risk the manjaro guys screwing everything up again?

@rosnovsky I think I always just figure if you don't know Linux well you should probably not run a distro that will break unless you hand installed it so you know what you did to break it... It's certainly not a fair assumption.. Hah.. I still kinda hope it gets big enough so it feeds back to me on my distro!

@sir I don't object to the updates at all, quite enjoy it to be honest, but I guess you could have separate accounts for each thing and update the ones the updates apply too, which would mean fewer overall updates, and people can follow what they're actually using or interested in?Or you know, Fuck it. People can just suck it up...
