@CiaoBruno @stevesilberman I so agree. I was not very politically involved in summer 2016, but I read a couple of "Who is Paul Manafort?" articles in summer 2016. Went about my day but realized that night I'd been low-level obsessing about it all day, which was very unlike me (back then). Posted my concerns on Facebook and got condescending reassurances that my fears were groundless; our institutions were too strong. "There, there little lady."

@stux Agreed. I used to get all excited and share news of SpaceX launches. Now, they just leave me thinking about the environmental damage done by his shortcuts and the incredible waste of talent and materials. And Elon's general awfulness.We aren't escaping to Mars. Not even the rich and ultra-privileged of us. Why not put those resources into saving this planet?

@bhawthorne @PetraPanda @lednabwm I can confirm that "God bless" is not commonly used in the northwest- WA, OR or ID. Or Alaska. The only person I've ever known to use that expression was a Unitarian. And he's no longer living.

@IdahoLark Mom says she's never actually seen it catch one of the sparrows. They have plenty of cover, and when they all scatter at once it's just too confusing.

@IdahoLark I see these in my crabapple tree most years. There are several days in winter when the birds decide the crabapples are ready and all kinds of them descend, along with a squirrel or 2. We've been enjoying the bir party this week.
