@TwyrLesbo I deleted my GC account, but my main account still remains. Every time I’m over there I run into misogyny or men who have annoying egos. The environment seems so toxic. I have a few subs that I’m not sure where to find an alternative? ie SPD is the only place I’ve found for interactive support for sensory issues in adults. It’s not that active, but everywhere else is less active or geared toward kids.

This is all “trigger” culture gone awry. Ok well to be fair it’s kind of dumb to put a trigger warning on anything because then we’d have to put it on everything. I mean someone out there is triggered by ducks, so yeah, let’s make ducks wear stickers that say “trigger warning”. It’s the whole content warning system gone awry. Learn how to self regulate or go live in a box underground and never come out. Signed, a PTSD/trauma survivor who had to take control of herself because controlling the rest of the world was not an option. (Aka, old school trauma healing). End vent. @DejaVu

@filenotfound I read somewhere that trans are on whole more conservative than the average man. It’s not so simple as to say “trans is not a conservative thing so therefore none of these men are conservative”.

That sub is a hell hole. Whenever I tried to talk about how women’s bodies undergo permanent changes as a result of pregnancy, it never failed that sub members would take it upon themselves to harass me. (On other subs.) This was in my pre radfem days and those posts are long buried now. I still don’t understand the point in denying the realities of what pregnancy can do to a woman’s body. 🤷♀️ @cucumbercat

Well that was interesting. My ex, the one who hit me (ahem in the most degrading place to hit a woman), just sent me a nasty message saying I ruined his weekend with my outburst, and how it’s my fault that things between us are over. So, right, he’s a typical man who can’t accept the fact that a woman would be strong enough to leave him because he hits her, and won’t stop even though he says he will. He told me that I lost the best thing to come into my life. I don’t want someone who hits me, especially not THERE. The best thing to come into my life was a man who hit me (like my dad) and in the same place as my babysitter who molested me…?????FFS what is he even thinking?!? But I’m therapist-less, too, as she was a libfem who thinks hitting during sex is ok. (It’s sad when even your therapist worships dick and throws you under the bus!) At least I have my case worker who has been telling me to exit ASAP because I’m her experience, guys don’t ever stop hitting. And I can post here, and another trauma site I belong to. I am going to be ok.

To me they want their cake, and eat it too. They want a woman to come home to who will take care of them, cook, clean, etc. But, they also want another woman or multiple women to have that hot passionate sex with, ie that honeymoon period. Men are disgusting in this regard because it seems to me that they have to convince their first partner to be ok with sleeping around. If you don’t want to commit, then don’t get into a committed relationship. Nobody is ever going to convince me that being poly doesn’t benefit men a million times more. @puppet

I’d say the same about highly educated women who are using their degree(s) yet look down on those of us who are educated but not using our degree(s) in the least. Well maybe the term insecure bully doesn’t fit quite as well, but there definitely is this type of snobbery that happens. @theAVclub
