       @aral it shits me when people ignore the slow motion slight of hand that goes on because they only think day to day. Govt reduces one area of healthcare funding, media says Healthcare sucks, Govt says privitise it, it sucks and costs more but that's just market forces at work. Govt reduces funding to another area of healthcare. Rinse and repeat

       Why do #Dropbox want me to pay for more storage simply to access files someone has shared with me? They're already paying for the storage. Is their business model so bad they have to double dip to make ends meet? Rather than delight me as a user, they're convincing me to actively plan to migrate people to a less annoying platform.

       @mxsparks some years ago I argued to drop gender as a required field (and title) on a system we were deploying. This was probably the smallest change that year, but required c-suite to sign off on it as no-one wanted to approve it (and I kept pushing). Afaik they are still optional and I know while I was still on the project we never found a reason to change it back. We also deployed aliases on email addresses to support name changes (got that approved because people get married and change)
