I'm glad Neocities exists even though it's not something I personally need. It's good to have a free, easy tool to help prevent the Internet from being treated like it's just a few sites.

@mycroft Food-wise it's great, toy-wise... I've had problems with people forgetting to include the toy, or today I got the toy from May instead of the one currently being advertised.So I'm probably best off just buying the toys I want online so I can be sure I get them, if the toy is really the priority.

@penny @mycroft If I could get fast food myself instead of needing DoorDash I would do that, and that would also fix the problems with them forgetting to include one (because presumably they could go give me the toy they forgot)

Some Tamagotchi Connection versions have a very quiet repeating beep if you press it up to your ear, like a little heart beat, and I think that's really cute. It's synchronized with the animation so I imagine it's a side effect of the processor sleeping and waking up between animation frames.

I thought that some blue might make the forest-y areas feel less overly focused on just green and brown, and an easy way to get some blue in there is to have a gradient in the background. I think this looks really nice!I think it could also be good to put some water at the bottom with some kind of parallax, maybe?#snesdev #gamedev

The game console cartridge adapters that are really just a clone console are so silly, though if I were a kid and didn't realize that's what it was they'd probably seem really cool and magical.The general idea of an adapter to play another console's games is still cool to me with different execution. I think the Super Game Boy and Power Base Converter are really neat for different reasons.

I'm up to season 8 of MLP: Friendship is Magic so far and I really wish I had stuck with the show back when it was actually airing because I really like it, maybe more than any other show I've ever seen, and it would have been cool to be involved as a fan and be around other people who like it.That said, if I had stuck with it I'm not sure I would have been able to find friends who also liked it.

I've tried a few times to start conversations about Cardcaptor Sakura in different places, and I thought it was this really well known anime, but consistently no one else has any feelings about it or has seen it I guess? It's really difficult to figure out what the correct games or correct shows are where you'll be interested in them and also other people will want to talk about them with you.

I was hoping that Deltarune would help give me something to talk about with people, but so far I've mostly just seen theory crafting and I don't think I'm interested in that; I'd rather talk about what's currently in the game, and draw fan art with people, but I dunno what spaces are doing that.
