@ParadeGrotesque @dancinyogi Typing as a well stung bee keeper....Bees *will* sting you even if you stand still. Honey bees I mean. Some hives are as docile as a lamb, I've had a couple of hives where I could maintain them in my T shirt. I've also looked after bees who would chase you down the street if you looked at them funny! Hooligan bees we call those.And those Africaised bees, quite common in the US, they sting anything black in colour, standing still or not Sorry to disagree.

@ParadeGrotesque @dancinyogi This is indeed the case. Also, honey bees do not like you much if you smell of alcohol. They also do not like horses for some reason.When I got my first swarm of bees, I had to carry them through a horse field. I was investigated by five horses. Not a happy place to be! No harm came to the bees, the horses or me, other than one sting right on my nose!

@EZLorenzImagery Have you noticed that the Gunnel (which looke like a European Eel to me) has a hook and a bit of monofilament line in its mouth. At least, it looks like it has but I can't blow up the image big enough on my phone to be sure.

Good morning fellow Mastos and hello Monday. MrsD is walking again today and she's taking Wesley. She's also taking me!!! Hmmm. Hopefully not the 10 and 12 miles that she did last week! I can sort of quote boost by:Clicking the toot.Selecting the three dot menu.Share.Select @tusky as the app to share with.I get a quoted toot.Ok, problems:Some toots have more characters than mastodon.scot allows. So I can end up overquota.It isn't as easy as it used to be in the other place.It may not work on all apps.It may not work in the browser.HTH. @tob @Naich

I use #Linux. If I may, a word of advice to fellow #Linux users, fan boys and zealots. When someone toots about problems, or otherwise, in #Windows, unless you have something constructive to add, shut the fsck up about "just install Linux". It makes you look like a dickhead, doesn't solve the problem, and probably gets you blocked. Not everyone has the ability or need to install #Linux. Regardless of how much better it is.End rant!

For a week, before she died, nurses at the hospital rubbed lard into my mum's back. She went downhill really fast after that.
