I hear this clip of a lesbian lamenting the fact that among lesbian couples they have much higher divorce rates then either gay male or heterosexual couples. Lesbian couples also have much, much higher rates of domestic abuse than either of the other pairings. This does not surprise me. If you look at domestic abuse, they say in general it's initiated about 50/50 between both male and female partners in those hetero relationships. There are a lot of reason for this. Most men do not hit women, back or otherwise. Either out of a moral code that deeply ingrained in them, or out of fear of what the systems of society will do to them. Women lack these considerations. Nobody raises women telling them they are evil for even thinking about hitting a man. So, it only stands to reason that rates of violence are much higher among lesbians. Because the one thing that keeps a lot of women from physically engaging a man is fear. Fear of how he will react, because if he does reciprocate violence for violence, she gets the short end of that stick. But when you take two creatures that are on equal footing both ruled primarily by emotions. Both never having been taught that even thinking about hitting a female is evil. Neither of them has societal pressures that will ruin them for being an aggressor against their lover. It only stands to reason their rates of domestic violence are why higher. It also explains why their divorce rates also much higher. The abuse is itself a partial explanation. But beyond that, women innately know the system is set up to benefit them in things like divorce. So both think they will naturally come out on top, being women and women usually wining the family court game.

Is it just me or do any of you remember when there was a delineation between "video games" and "computer games" a very clear line. When they they become one in the same? I suspect it has something to do with Steam. I can remember 20 years ago I was still making the distinction. I don't know when I dropped it, probably when society did I suppose.
