@tilvids @joinpeertube Big mood. I eagerly await to see Mstdn.ca join the peertube network, even though I know that's a long ways away.

@tilvids @peertube I am actually quite impressed with theImprovements of the peertube software. I hope this network continues to improve and that is grows as an alternative, even if still niche in application.

@tilvids I'm actually super curious how the redundancy works in the context of peertube instances. I mean I've read the one documentation on it a few times and it always sounded a bit like a CDN to me but through fediverse federation... however, I'm not sure how accurate this is.

@tilvids @Framasoft Interesting. Thank you for the clarifications. I'm surprised the page is not included in the caching.Since reading about redundancy I've theorized leaders/admins of a community (example animators, Tech, history buffs etc) could set up geolocation (ex East-US, West-US) to help with some storage and bandwidth costs across the Admins, and members could spin up smaller community mirrors or general instances to help the network.

@tilvids I feel that with something like Tilvids Makes the most sense to be non-profit or a cooperative type operation.Ideally Creatives would follow in similar steps and we can have more vibrant internet again.I want to say company run instances can co-exist with purely community ones, but obviously smaller than the monolithic of twitter and reddit.
