@habib So, a few weeks ago, I changed to an iPad mini after years of 11-inch pro as my primary computer (Mac was only for voiceover work) and and a couple days ago, I was finally erasing the 11” so my wife can use it. The 11” now feels absolutely gigantic, as does my son’s 10.5”. I can’t even imagine trying to use a 12.9!

@siracusa The thing that never seems to be mentioned in the discussion of touchscreen Macs is cost. So for instance, on a future MacBook Air, it seems to me that to maintain price point, Apple will have to compromise on other more desirable components such as RAM or storage in order to be able to include a feature that I likely will never use. The alternative, of course, is that they simply raise the price. Seems like they wouldn’t be very likely to make it optional.

@jrdepriest God? 😂I think in real terms the concept is energy.You might call it “the Spark”.But if it were me, I’d almost certainly call it “the Song”: it is everywhere and everywhen, it is the sound and the dance, the instrument and the dancer, it is player and composer, breath and emotion and color and timbre. And, what “the Blight” can never see, never comprehend, is that it is also the absence, it is all that is and all that is not.We sing it because to exist is to be “the Song”.

@jrdepriest Well, I suppose it depends on how harmony is defined. A punch is violent, and so is it then discordant? What if it is viewed by a boxer, able to see that it is perfectly timed, sweetly scientific? Still discord?What if the jaw is that of a Nazi? Hitler himself?This line of thinking leads me to another name for this thing, Dao.

@jrdepriest The more I think about it, the more I find that conservative ideology comes down to:Deserving and undeserving people exist.They are in *a* deserving group, even if not *the most* deserving group.Under no circumstance should an undeserving person receive any benefit, real or perceived, whatsoever.Therefore, harm will be done to even *deserving* people in order to prevent the above at all costs. This includes harming their own group and thus “voting against their interests”.
