@cubensis Yes, it's true. What matters the safety, privacy, and dignity of women compared with the right of a man to be safe from having his transness and past crimes published? Yet the FOIA request wasn't for the men's names, but just for the # of TiMs in the women's prison. The local Seattle Times paper mentions that "allegations" of sexual assault have been made, but makes no mention of the fact that among the TiMs in the women's prison is a man with a 30-page rap sheet.What's weird and unsettling is that someone in the prison or involved in the process of accepting FOI requests contacted the ACLU about the FOI. This should *not* have happened. Was only a couple of days after the FOI was submitted that the woman got slammed with a suit by the ACLU.The ACLU suing to block FOI requests. Never would have thought this could happen. But now at least I can throw that in my replies to Chase Strangio when he spouts off his gender religion shit.

And I agree that anti-vaxxers may not be stupid or crazy. But they are not critical nor analytical thinkers who can evaluate data for reliability and/or validity of extrapolation. In many circumstances these characteristics don't present a risk to others, but that's not the case in regards to public health.

@susannunes I hate, hate, hate that these articles say "banning the trans poor things" when it's Saving. Women's. Sports. Transfolx can play sports. @FernandaValdez I feel for you. I used to smoke and it took me several tries to quit. If it wasn't so bad for health I'd go right back to it now, even though I've been smoke-free for ~30 years. I would quit when I was sick with a cold -- got a lot of colds in my younger days -- since I didn't feel like smoking when sick. The hard part was when I felt better.Do something to keep your mouth busy (that sounds funny, doesn't it!). I went through hundreds, probably thousands of hard candies. Get the sugarless kind so your teeth won't rot. 😺 Use something to keep your hands busy; I sure missed holding a cigaret in my hands. I think someone mentioned knitting. A pen for jotting notes? Sketching? Maybe walking, cycling, hiking, something which gets you out of your usual location. Somehow I never smoked outside, so hiking helped me. Cannabis always made me anxious so I didn't use it, plus any type of smoke in the lungs is bad for your health.Change your home furniture and artwork around! Make it look different so it won't reflexively trigger the "I normally smoke here" feeling. Distraction, distraction, distraction so to take your mind away from smoking. Remember, each time you quit makes it that much easier and more likely! The average person takes around 6-10 tries before quitting, if I'm remembering the current stats. Wishing you success, which you *will* have. May it may take be a while, may it'll happen next week, but you will be smoke-free.

@susannunes Splendidly argued! Intersectionality = dilution. Declining to add other SJ issues into feminism is staying true to a feminist focus. We acknowledge the other issues as important but they are a separate focus from feminism which focuses on the oppression of women as women.
