Romance scenes. It’s one thing to explain the actions in a sense but to go overly deep into it (be it emotions or physical acts) when it isn’t exactly the focus of the genre itself, can drag things out. @Morghur It’s a fine balance to be sure. too little and it makes no sense. Too much and it becomes more of a slog to read than enjoy.

Yes. Everyone here has gone insane. Food stores are decimated/some are limiting items, lines for propane refills, gas stations running half capacity due to running out of fuel for vehicles & gas canisters, pharmacies running low on meds and good luck trying to find a generator/extension cables of any kind. 😳

@gentoobro It doesn’t help I’m in the same area that got hit hard by the hurricane last year and given how the local officials/utilities handled things a lot of faith has been lost that anyone of authority will do their jobs effectively. But at the same time this is the south where even an inch of snow throws everyone here in a panic.……

@gentoobro Still you’d think it would be good practice regardless if one is or isn’t in a high risk zone. You dont have to be some doomsday/fall of society prepper to have some emergency supplies on the ready, if anything at least a bug out bag. Still it’s also the south so some have that off mentality despite knowing the snow will eventually come. 🤷♂️
