@alejandrobdn Exactly the same here.I've also got the same problem with nftables - piecing together bits of information from here and there, but really missing a "This is the why, this is the how and these are the examples graded from simple up to complicated". I suppose I should really pull all that together myself and publish it for others to learn, but that takes time I don't have 😞

Finally at the stage I'm ready to move e-mail away from Google, but struggling to find a (preferably Linux command line) tool to duplicate GoogleMail mailboxes to a generic IMAP mailbox.Does anybody know of such a thing?

HELP!!My nine year old laptop is dying (falling to bits, wireless network flakey (probably a loose solder joint somewhere), screen needs the occasional clout).I'm looking at a 7th generation 4K #Thinkpad #X1Carbon. Has anybody with one had any problems putting #Debian on it? Is there anything I need to watch out for?

@geerlingguy Wow. Now that's a response and a half. I'd have put money on no reply or a "we can do what we want" comment. But this. Wow again. Almost makes me want to go and buy something from them!Just a shame I'm surprised by a company doing the right thing.

Can anybody recommend a set-top-box I can run a #Jellyfin client on?Ideally it would start/boot up into a Jellyfin client.Ideally it would support HDMI-CEC.Ideally it would have enough grunt to be able to play direct rather than require the server to transcode.Ideally it would have wired Ethernet.It definitely must not be made by Apple.

For weeks I've been trying to get #HACS to install on the #homeassistant VM in the camper van. For weeks it's failed - the wget of hacs.zip gets to around 80% and then bombs out. I spent hours diagnosing what on earth was happening, but couldn't get to the bottom of it. I ruled out everything - it just didn't work.In desperation, I took a backup of the VM and spun it up in the office. It worked fine. WTF? That made no sense at all.

I double-checked that MTU wasn't the issue. It wasn't.This evening I started from scratch. The only difference between the office and the camper installations were the means of connecting to the Internet. The office has a FTTC connection and the camper has an LTE link with Three as the ISP."Hmmm", thinks I, "I wonder what happens if I route everything out over a VPN".Spun up a Mullvad Wireguard VPN and, well, whaddayaknow, it worked.

So, 'download a file over Three' is a no-go, whilst 'download a file over a VPN over Three' is absolutely fine.I don't get it.Anyway, the camper now has a permanent VPN connection and connectivity just works.
