@ChristiJunior @hellhammer666 Watching anime at all is mainstream anyways. People who are truly into it generally fall a bit further and start reading the manga to get ahead, or, if their interest is more so the complete story (since animes are usually big advertisements) they read the light novel or play the visual novel.Either way, I wonder how this person would answer the question of "how did you discover this? What are your favorite?" and I wonder if it'd be as depressing as I expect.

@MoeBritannica Little do these fags realize...anime and manga is for kids and teens, primarily, and, whoa, can you believe it, the author caters to their audiences age.When you were in middle school or high school, who didn't like that the girls from Rosario+Vampire, Mahou Sensei Negima, or "insert your harem manga/anime here" was in their age range?

@thor Maybe the young people without jobs. Those with a job have on-call or other business related things that might require a phone as, a message on a messenger doesn't wake you up at 1 A.M., a phone call does.

@Kyonko802 For me it's also just the upgrade in animation and design itself,sort of like with Shaman King.I always feel like the intent of the animation more closely matches the source material when made during it's time. For example, compare Detective Conan 1-200 to 600+. One feels like actual case files, the other just feels like some weird slice of life series that's episodic using mysteries as just a backdrop.
