Apart from the galling 500char limit, i had thought i was quite happy there, until the day last week during a chat with another peep who'd recently left Fossto, he pointed out to me that many of my posts almost certainly breached at least two of the CoC clauses, ie, without me realising, i was, in effect, at risk of potentially having my account summarily closed down. So, i changed Instances pretty fast at that point... 😨

~26 hours ago i made a last-minute decision to jump into the #Windscribe #VPN 7th Birthday Sale offer of 58% off [after humming & hahing for several days before, i finally went for it 30' before they closed it]. So far, my Free account still has not upgraded. Apparently the cause is that i used #Paypal, which allegedly can take up to three business days to make the payment. So it seems i need to wait for possibly another two days... all the time wondering if perchance i'd accidentally fallen for some spoof website & thus been scammed. Prolly not... but still it'll be a bit of a relief once i do see that the upgrade happened. 😨

@justinz @kde Ta Justin, yeah, i have had that bug report tab pinned for weeks, & i periodically recheck it in desperate hope of seeing progress. Someone, t'other day [maybe it was you, idk?] posted about the alpha trick, but when i tried it i failed, every time -- each time i set it to 0, it then was impossible to actually draw the shape onto the screen; nothing happened. Presumably i'd misunderstood the method, but still couldn't deduce whatever my error was. 🤷♀️

Tonight i felt all fired up to actually, finally, do it. I created a new account at https://bugs.kde.org/enter_bug.cgi, for MsDropbear, & was all set to then do it. However then i noticed that, afaict, there's no capability at that site to post anything without my email address being publicly visible. Is that right, or am i missing some setting in Preferences that would let me hide the addy? If it can't be hidden, then i'm sorry but i'll not proceed; i can't even begin to imagine what a rich honeypot for email spammers & phishers such a site must be. I do hope i'm mistaken.

@justinz Thanks, yeah, i know about #FirefoxRelay, & also the one i use, #SimpleLogin, but i do only use these for relatively unimportant accounts in case they get hacked, & even these do not publicly display the addy. Tbh, i'm fairly shocked about the KDE bugs site design, now that i've discovered this silliness. So, i do apologise, but i'm now going to drop this issue, without reporting it. 😞
