@blueberry if we focus on ipv4, it depends on your isp. In my country almost all isp's can provide a "fixed" ip for a small fee. You still configure your router with dhcp, but the isp's dhcp server will respond with the same address every time. But if the isp do not change the network very often, and your router is not rebooted frequently - then dynamic address could be sufficient. That you have to decide in perspective of your use case.

@pavot I tried #syncthing several years ago, but found it a a pain to keep running. I then changed to #nextcloud. But I really liked the concept of #syncthing, and seeing yours and others positive toots lately, it may be time to give #syncthing another try 🤔

@RicardusYou would think so, but actually is does not matter. Yellow is a mix of red and green, so anything but blue looks more or less the same to me. And as cool as the blue diode was when it was marketed I just think we have seen enough cheap Alibaba crap with blue light by now :ageblobcat:

@textovervideo i have used the 2 first a little. Mostly Jxplorer. But my main tool has always been command line "ldapsearch" combined with grep and cut and so on.
