Hello World!I'm MonkeyMatt, new here and new to the Fediverse in general so thought I'd make my #introductionsOver the last couple years I've been thinking a bit about some of the concepts that are part of Fediverse but didn't realize it already existed. So awesome!I ended up down this rabbit whole after looking into @k9mail which as a software dev by trade (predominantly Android) I'm hoping I might be able to contribute to. It desperately needs swipe to delete for one.So anyway, howdy 👋

@mike why do open source projects so often have such bad UI. One of the biggest barriers to wider adoption imo

@murtezayesil I've got in the habit of avoiding telling more then a few people about my goals or projects for a slightly different reason. I've always considered typing speed a non-issue when writing code. Now I want to improve my typing speed. I tested myself on a random website and can type about 50 wpm.It's really fun playing TypeRacer: https://www.getmade.co.nz/One day I hope to be good enough to succeed in INSTANT DEATH mode.But typing all those sentences got me thinking. Surely typing code is quite different. And wouldn't you know it, there are specific code typing website out there! So with code I'm only at about 35 wpm.
