@stux If I'm reading this right, this says "Social networking services must include: A method for filtering objectionable material from being posted on the app ... the ability to block abusive users from the service".Even if individual users cannot block people, Twitter as a social networking service still has the ability to filter objectionable material and block abusive users through reporting, site-wide bans, muting, "freedom of speech not reach", etc. It'll probably stand

@futurebird On the algorithm, I actually would really like the ability to curate and sort posts based on quickly rising, accounts I boost/like/reply to more often, stuff like that. Especially if it's just a ranking algorithm, it doesn't collect any additional information that you don't already give to Mastodon, and we're committed not to sell ads already, I'm not sure what the hatred for anything other than reverse chronological order is on here
