@jesu take 'dubstep' for instance (that's what I listen to these days): it started as a wobble wobble UK underground genre, with completely different drums, softer, and basses that didn't touch the mids.Then Skrillex took it and pushed the wobs to the mids, he created growls.And nowadays people made it into riddim, which is way more aggressive, and basses, ironically, touch both the lows and the highs. It's almost earrape sometimes. And it's more rhythmic, so we're once again back to the wobs, or wonks, similar to what we had in the beginning with UK dubstep, just pushed to the highs this time.So it's constantly changing and evolving

All of this I'm doing while trying to maintain compatibility with API 19, because I myself have some older devices lying around and I know how frustrating it is to not be able to use them just because they won't get Android updates.

I still hate non-free software and will continue working on free software projects, my apps when I have the time, but I want my music to have a darker tone, and with all the posts on my blog I wrote as a young young fella, surrounding my artist name, it's impossible to have that effect. I don't feel like the autistic guy I presented myself as anymore, obsessed with suckless software and window managers and esperanto and niche shit. I still like this stuff, but they're not my life purpose.
