@TiredCarrot @comrade_lecter That may be your personal experience, I can say that by age 9 I already experienced sexual attraction and a desire for sex and for talking with others I know this isn't such a rare experience as society would like to make us believe, there also exist asexual adults that have never experienced sexual desire and it would be ridiculous to say they can't consent to sexual activities if they choose to for any reason.

Before getting to be a part of this community I really thought I could be a danger to kids, this shit gets internalized so deep, it's weird cause I have never felt "urges" or anything while being with a kid, and still I was in some way convinced it was wrong for me to be around them, like I knew I was not a danger now but still felt my fate was to end up a danger some day, does that make any sense?

It's not that we as pedophiles care about youth lib cause we want to fuck them, we care cause we are an oppressed group and have all the incentives to look at society and question how it's built, and in the process of questioning we realize it's all kinds of fucked up.The oppressor does not care what the basis of their ideology is, they are comfortable how things are and don't have any incentive to question why they are like that or work to change them.

@Zest @comrade_lecter I have seen pro cs that think a relationship with kids isn't a good idea in the current social climate given the likelihood of secondary harm.Everytime I log on here I get more convinced that contact labels are useless, their definition is extremely vague and they only create an us vs them conflict inside the community,

@Zest @comrade_lecter I get your point but in practice some anti c also think that relationships with kids could be good in a different society or after law reforms, the label on itself says very little about what the person thinks, this is seen also in the people that define themselves as contact neutral or pro reform just to avoid the in fighting that comes with "choosing a side", this label system is flawed and does a disservice to the community

I used to identify as pro c but I'm giving up contact labels as a whole, my opinion on map issues hasn't changed but I refuse to keep participating in this awful label system.

@Lily Of course, fighting will happen regardless and some ideologies are totally incompatible with some others, but it doesn't have to be such a definitive divide, you can disagree with someone on one topic but agree in others and work together to reach objectives you agree in, like MAPs being able to access therapy without fear of being reported for their attractions, however the current contact labels makes people unwilling to interact with other side let alone work together.Obviously this is a problem with the way the community uses the labels and not with any terms themselves, but if more and more people take a stand against it I hope it'll start getting better, refusing to use the labels seems like a good step to me.

Last week two policemen knocked on my door and I almost had a heart attack, they had come out to check some stuff I was selling online, but damn, they had even parked the patrol car in the middle of the street with those police lights on (cause they couldn't find a parking spot and police do whatever the fuck they want ig).

@comrade_lecter I don't care who created it or for what purposes cause no matter that we can reclaim the term if so we want, my main problem is that minor attraction is dependent on the legal construct of a "minor" which I don't agree with, that's why I prefer using pedophile.
