Happy Saturday, just popped out into the garden to fill up the bird feeders. I like the look of this pale blue geranium Blue Cloud, with raindrops abounding. ,🌧️🌧️🌧️Have a lovely day wherever you all are.

Our dahlias have struggled a bit this year with the peculiar weather we have had. One of my all time favourites is this deep and mysterious thing called Black Jack.Very difficult to get the proper colouration via my trusty smart phone...Sumptuous beetroot hued deep green foliage adds to the overall effect. What's not to like. 😁

Well, me & @druid are off for a lovely walk around Westonbirt Arboretum near Tetbury tomorrow. We have booked our tickets on the ropey & antiquated Forestry enterprise website...it's almost clockwork. It's a wonderful place full of beautiful trees from nearly every corner of this gorgeous planet. We will be a little too early for the main autumn colour display but a great place to just wander & take in the many wonderful things. I may be collecting a few seeds if I see them on the floor. 😄

Afternoon pawb, As the last rays of the chilly Monday sun warm these bedraggled Japanes maple leaves, I have spent the last half an hour opening mind and communing (in the shamanic manner) with the ancestral spirits from tree, rock and stream from time immemorial. And they answer that they gifted to me after much swishing, wand waving and drumming was...Pizza.Suits me. 😊Have a wonderful end to the day wherever you all are.

Happy Friday from the valley. It is deceptively mild here at the moment. We haven't had a frost in weeks. So, as the glitter and sparkle of Christmas is fading, I am keenly awaiting the lengthening days of spring. But for now, we will enjoy the many beauties that winter can bring.Have a gorgeous day out there, wherever you all are. 😊

Happy #thoughtfulthursday y'all. Our friendly local refuse collectors have been clanking and clattering their haphazard way from one end of the street to the other at their usual time of around 6 am.Meanwhile, The birdsong chorus gets better each day.More plants unfold their beautiful selves and make me so grateful. Our nasty germs are losing their grip on us at last. Our valley gets greener and more amazing each day.I remember all the reasons why I love gardening and collecting plants.

@johnelalamo yeah, we are used to it now. Perhaps they could offer classical music being played at the same time.😊

I'm struggling with stuff today.I had my first birthday card yesterday from my dad since my mother has passed away, and the complete absence of my mother's name on the card hit me in ways that I hadn't expected it to.Grief is now my new friend, a lifelong relationship that I now have to make space for.A friend that I'll now make space for at the table and invite into every aspect of my life.A friend that will help me accept the treasures in memories and the healing power in letting go.

We bought this gorgeous cottage garden Sidalcea as Elsie Heugh, but I think it is probably a different cultivar called Candy Girl. Either way, it is absolutely beautiful, even after heavy rain.#bloomscrolling #CottageGarden ##mindfulness
