Rumors of Apple's switch to ARM processors in laptops are getting louder (eg https://www.theverge.com/2020/3/27/21196611/arm-macbook-desktop-apple-2021-release-date). This feels like the next step in locking everyone on Macs down in an iOS-style walled garden (with armed guards on the wall).Time to get off this OS.

@Gina I just visited our local grocery during "Old Fart Shopping Hours", (ie time set aside for the over 60 crowd). Only about half were wearing facial covering. On the one hand, it's the most vulnerable population, but on the other, it's probably the most pigheaded one too.

So, Trump has now told governors that they are authorized to take the steps they were already taking with authority they already had (and that he cannot grant).Meanwhile, Trump signs are appearing on lawns around here, and people see this horseshit as evidence of leadership.

I'm getting increasingly annoyed at pundit pieces that amount to "We can't work at home and raise our kids, this is impossible, society should support us." Where the fuck were you when we were a family of 2 WFH adults, home-schooling 4 kids, not to mention chickens, horses, doing our own home maintenance, etc etc? Check your own damned privilege and expectations before you complain about how something that thousands of people have been doing for decades is impossible.
