@mjg59 depending on how static the recording is, you might have to start by realigning every frame. And then through your stack of frames, go pixel by pixel finding what the most likely most common value for each pixel is. There's probably somewhat less brute force approaches by clever people than me

So I claimed a religious exemption today so that I could get both of my shots in the same arm. @lextenebris @Tim_Eagon I mean I wasn't there but I was a member of several other semi academic geek communities at the time so I feel like I probably have a grasp of how intense and how Petty the infighting was. @futurebird @AbyssalRook I mean specifically, statistics is a core way of being superhuman. Like humans have assorted natural insights and tendencies toward a bunch of parts of mathematics. But the way our brains are wired. Are inherently bad at statistics. It's a thing we have to actively learn and fight against our insights. Because statistics are fighting with the sort of natural heuristics that our brain use to minimize effort in our traditional social groups, which are very small universes.

@foone somewhere in my room I have a box of discs like that and I almost certainly have not owned a device that would read those discs for at least 20 years.
