Recently, several users expressed a desire for a way to quickly check if the images in the toot they were about to boost were described. It would be nice if Mastodon itself offered warnings for that, as well as for forgetting to describe media in your own posts, but until then, this is actually one problem admins can fix on our own!All you need to do is go into the site settings and add a bit of CSS code that will display a red border around any undescribed media. Maybe you joined those instances because they seemed well-federated. Well, they no longer are. If you'd like more people to see your content, a less known instance might actually help that, not hinder it. Maybe you joined because you didn't know where else to go. I know, it's pretty confusing! If you still don't and are a good person, choose some random smaller instance like ours and set up camp there while you figure things out. #MastoAdmin Are any other admins with application signups enabled noticing a spike in spambots? We're getting a surprising amount of attention over here. Easy enough to reject, but I still wish there was something to block that'd just make them disappear.Also, what's even the point of these phrases? Since I couldn't find any decent guides I've decide to learn US English Grade 2 #braille by just switching to that braille table in #NVDA and reading through a random book, pausing to read by letter whenever I get stuck. What a better way to learn how to swim than to just throw yourself in the water?It's pretty exhausting so far. There's characters for certain parts of words like ing, but also characters that represent whole words, like the, of, for, etc. Certain letters, when on their own, stand for whole words (h for have, l for like ...)1/2

For some reason, I decided to look for tips for reheating leftovers. Ugh. Name-choosing. The hardest part of making a #DnD character. :ms_frown: Well, that and figuring out how they look like. But that's just a blindness thing, I suppose. Can't really imagine a picture in your mind if you've never seen any (and only vaguely know how firbolgs even look like).In another group I'd be tempted to follow the bit of lore that says firbolgs, not really doing names in their own culture, are happy to let others call them whatever they wish. But I doubt that'd work here; everyone just calls each other by their OOC names. If I want to have a name, I can't count on others to think it up for me.
