@aral By default yes, but there is an option in settings to change it as the user wish. Molly is a FOSS type of fork without all the proprietary trash included, like google services, closed blobs etc. The only one "downside" is the need to set up some external notifications service, because of the lack of google's. But that's not some hard thing to do. There are plenty of such, and much more privacy friendly, actually available. For other systems there are also foss variants of original Signal.

@aral You're welcome. This option should be somewhere under "censorship bypass". As my hubby told me already. I don't use Signal myself, but he is and said that Molly is working well, as he checked today morning. So, looks like they are able to use different backends from only the aws ones.

@kaia DM best money ever. It had value that was truly measurable, worth of known to all who used it daily. From the day euro was introduced the country's economy began its slow decline. A slippery slope, steadily downward, despite the passage of years. Unfortunately, someone had to pay for this change, and the heaviest hit were the poorest. People who had to work the hardest for their wages. It was the next step after unification that literally finished the country off. Like a knife in the back.

@aral It is not hard to guess.. They would be now or soon in the state of yet another war. A civil war, as they already had in the past. They have already been through this more than once, but they have learned nothing. As the wise old folks say.. History has a way of repeating itself. And it does so every hundred years circa. Look at the calendar and history books. Seems like a pattern. Don't you think? Scary familiar one, imho. Why? Because people don't live that long, to remember how it was.

@stux Well.. I had two I became once as a Xmas gift. Don't remember which one was the first one, but I enjoyed very much and long time both of them. Rick Dangerous and Mayhem in Monsterland. Those games were for C-64 I still have. Mayhem was a masterpiece of coding and also sort of precursor for the later well known and popular Super Frog for Amiga computers.

@stux Is there any issue with the qr-code? When I want to set up 2FA, it doesn't display itself correctly. Something is broken. I tried on different browsers, on pc as well but nothing helps. There is no qr-code shown no matter what I do.
