My great-grandfather, Carlos Quijano, was a journalist (a real journalist, not like the scum who call themselves that nowadays), a writer and an intellectual guide for a whole generation of Latin Americans, specially those born in the 40's, 50's and 60's. During the last dictatorship in my country, Uruguay, he against the military government and, one night, he suffered a terrorist attack from them at his house. A small bomb blew up in his back yard, destroying every single window in the house.

Inside the house, asleep, was his grandson, my father, barely 9 years old, and he was covered with glass, and scared to death. Quijano knew, immediately, that the attack had come from the military/police. However, in a true display of cynicism, the police showed up to "investigate" what had happened. When the "intelligence" officer comes up to him to present himself, the following dialogue took place:- "Don Quijano, I'm with Intelligence"- "My boy, imagine what are the others like"

What a damn shame what happened today. A great presidency ends in the worst possible way. To be honest, I think this will backfire on the GOP, and that if there was any chance to win the House/Senate on 2022, it disappeared today. And if there was any chance that "The People" supported any attempts from The President to change the election results, it vanished today too. Sad. Very, very sad.

@ThomasWic I don't care who I offend with this: You are delusional and misleading a big group of well intentioned people.Not only is there no reason to wait until the 20th, but Trump actually DIDN'T wait. He has filed as many lawsuits as he could and all of them were dismissed.The only thing proven today is this: They have nothing and this has all been a sad show that tarnishes what was a superb presidency.
