You’ll be an “old-timer” in a few days. Don’t just follow all the same people who are like you. Use your filter to not see topics that wear you down. Visit other countries through their photos. Maybe we could start a thread here called #MyQuirks where we share some quirky facts about ourselves. There is about a 2 day window during which I will eat a banana. Outside of that, I deem it underripe or overripe. I absolutely won’t eat an overripe banana. Only good for banana bread. I can’t eat an egg if the white part is runny at all. I can’t watch anyone else eat one either. (They can eat it, I just can’t watch.) The yolk can be runny but not the white. #MyQuirks

I’ve been here for less than 2 months and it’s been such a pleasure to talk to so many great people here on Mastodon. I love experiencing the world through your paintings, your camera, your stories, and your daily ordinary lives. The pandemic shrunk my world, with so few opportunities to travel, but you’ve made my world bigger by sharing your words and pictures with me. I am very glad to know that there are so many kind, creative, and funny people in the world. May we all soon know peace.
