@cliffwade It's possible to use a different domain to the one of the instance hosting the profile (see https://guide.toot.as/guide/use-your-own-domain)I guess they're doing that so they can generate a whole bunch of domains in the hopes of not getting blocked as much. 🤷

@cliffwade Yup! 💯 I'm not currently sure if as an instance moderator I can block these vanity domains or if it just blocks the actual instance behind it. 🤔 I haven't seen any reports of them on mine yet but I expect they'll come eventually. 😞

@simon Kavita does this (e.g. https://github.com/Kareadita/Kavita/releases/tag/v0.7.7). I’m not really a fan and tend to just skip over it and look for a list of any breaking changes. But I have several dozen apps that I keep updated (with Renovate) so don’t have the time to go through all in detail.

So I called up the clinic today, no appointments available for today. No problem, I said, I don’t need it today, I’m happy to wait. Except you can’t book in advance, you can only book a same-day appointment. I checked every other GP clinic in my town and every one is the same. I tried Bupa to pay to book an appointment somewhere within 25 miles of me. Nothing available!How the fuck is this an acceptable health care system?
