@rysiek @piks3l sounds okish, but yes. No information about anyone backing it with their name. My guess would be simple ommision.I reached out to them asking about any specific representative or someone you could meet at 35c3 for example.

@deshipu Just a note here: If your flux doesn't have "NO CLEAN" written on it explicitly you should wash it off with a solvent after you're done soldering (read which one, Acetone works for most).Otherwise you might end up with corroded copper on your PCB.

@rice @lain I don't know where "here" is, but a 45m2 studio/2 bedroom apt close to the center (10-30min to everything within Zone A) is 700-1200€/mo (there's no real ceiling, you can go posh). This includes water and heating. So with 70k, after taxes you have a bit over 3k/mo (as a single person, marriage is fiscally efficient). This incl. health insurance. Cheap lunch is ~5€, good lunch is ~9€, you can cook for less. Club mate is ~1€. Monthly ticket is 67~81€.

@jwildeboer "driveless" doesn't imply it leaks from time to time.

@fribbledom I had very good experiences with Xiaomi air purifier v2. It was pulling air well. You can use it without wifi/internet connectivity which was very important to me. Look at the internal construction when buying, some other manufacturers had a fan blowing air at a filter with most of it escaping to the sides.

@jwildeboer Flashing front white lights (especially if it's one of those 30W power LEDs) mess with adaptation (blinds oncoming traffic). Flashing red light doesn't trigger the same mechanism, but I still find it a bit annoying.

@fribbledom @dyske piwik respects DNT and doesn't even show users who have that header set. I think adblocking means you don't show up in piwik. I'm not sure how many web developers are aware of access logs, let alone ask their hosting company for them (big portals hopefully being an exception here).

@jwildeboer everyone prepares for the consequences of climate change in their own way. Some people don't fly. Some people move higher, away from the ocean. Some people construct cars which allow easy armor plate mods.

@jwildeboer Stay at home and keep on wearing masks when going shopping even after R<1.0 (it is there already there in DE according to RKI data). R<1.0 only means we don't have a catastrophic explosion, but the fight goes on.

@jwildeboer Was there also a teaser of the next episode of "POTUS press conferences" where he suggests washing lungs with soapy water?

@mesh4545 @cos In some cases Briar seems too paranoid and I didn't find a way to tailor it to my needs. For example the requirement to log in every time I turn the screen back on means no notifications about new messages when the phone is in my pocket. A trade off not worth much in my threat model.

@cjd @calculsoberic @cypnk it's actually closer to a voided stock share collectible. There's tons of them and their value is basically 0, they don't have any legal power over the company/asset it was issued for and a third party procurer made some money off of it.If you equate that to actual deeds then I have relatively cheap deeds of some touristic monuments for sale.

@cjd @calculsoberic @cypnk My deeds aren't fabricated, they don't claim to be deeds, just paper non-fungible tokens. However if someone chooses to equate them with deeds it's their choice as an adult.

@rysiek if it tracks the issue (reply adds comments instead of opening issues every time) I send a thank you. Also if the person was really helpful you can send a paper "thank you for resolving the issue quickly and professionally" letter addressed to that person, in most institutions that would be easier to use when talking about a bonus/raise than an e-mail. Unless they have a specified feedback process.

@nivex I've noticed that what confuses people about networking (in the old sense) is that it's supposed to be the simplest thing that will work because you have to do the same simple thing to billions of packets or frames. For some reason there's a notion that the network is in some way smart or intelligent, or knows things. Then those ideas leak into some implementations :/The network doesn't know things - state is bad - it's not smart. You or some management software have to do the thinking.

@rysiek DE politicians floated to the surface on antinuclear promises after Fukushima. They would have to admit they were wrong and enact rolling blackouts (there's not enough alt sources to power Germany without gas or coal)Also look at where the retired DE politicians from the 90s get their paychecks - no SWIFT, no paychecks from Russian employers.
