@aral Lol. But people can delude themselves. People fall in love with an ideal and try to realise it. But they also delude themselves to not see their own hypocrisy. Sometimes they also know of the hypocrisy but think they'll improve in the future.So, you can have founding fathers following an ideal while being hypocrites. So, yes, they'd be rolling in their graves because the ideals they fought the Royalists for are being torn down by the Royalists* again.

@bastetandptah @Ttubretep I tried to go track down more of their work. I stumbled onto art work from some japanese artists. I forgot what unvarnished earnestness in creating art looks like. I feel sorry to have lived this long without being earnest. Thank you for posting this.

@stux It's a sort of marketing problem. People have been conditioned to think that internet services are free, because that's all they've experienced. To intellectually and consciously make the change of paying for social media, even though it makes perfect sense inside one's head, is a very difficult fight against taught monkey instincts.
