       I confess unto thee mine siblings in pixel-induced vision issues that I rage like a substance dependent 50-somthing stuck on a tour bus without a bathroom whenever I try to copy someone gosh darned email address out of one of these new fangled UI's. Outlook in Office 365 has killed more of my brain cells with this than any amount of things I shouldn't have done as a child. It's text. I want the text. I want to take it from your shitty system and put it into a better one. A system that lets me select text!!I remember describing hostile click depth to someone once and I remember their eyes getting wide and asking, "What's click depth?" It changed their life to learn that putting something more than 3 clicks away makes it almost invisible to most people. I hate that UX is dead and click buried and non-selectable is now 'just business' and 'justified to keep  the sheep in our ecosystem'. I rage dear readers and the fire is hot.

       I had to explain the term e-waste to a 50-something last week and it's still on my mind. Find someone 15-20 years older and mentor them. Not mentee, mentor. They need to know what they don't know.

       @leo If you take a young individual from a broken home and put them in a healthy one they will, of course, act in the ways they've learned to by following the models that had been available to them. The difference is that once they're in that new healthy home they will get different feedback in a loop they think only ends up some other way. The human animal then looks for reasons for that and might adopt different modes of actions following new models. So yea. We want them here.

       @vertigo @mrlparker Honestly, this is one reason I have a hard time getting on the Authenticator App bandwagon in the 2FA conversation. That app is just a big black box of problems waiting to inflict themselves on me. That said, I think Hanlon's Razor is apt in this situation too, "Do not ascribe to malice that which can be sufficiently explained by ignorance or apathy."
