One of my goals for 2024 is to end up with a mostly handmade wardrobe. I have a couple wool dresses that I love that I’ll keep. Toward that goal I’m starting with this digital pattern, my first ever! I’ve got a gorgeous, yellow linen, king sized duvet cover that has a hole in it. There’s tons of great fabric there so I’ll be making use of it. I’m really looking forward to focusing more on sewing this coming year. #Sewing #Handmade

@futurebird I have an online book club, not on Mastodon but done through a group text. To avoid the issues of faster readers vs slower readers and spoilers in the chat, we divide the book up in sections and discuss one section per week. That keeps the discussion together on the same part of the book.

@futurebird We cancelled our Prime membership, so we don’t go to Anazon first. We live in a tiny, rural town that is a couple hours from a town of any size, so we end up having to order online fairly often. Unfortunately I’ve had to resort to Amazon a couple of times, but they are getting far less from us than they used to. Now that we aren’t paying the subscription we do a lot better trying to track back to the source.

One of my goals this year is to read more self published books, so respond here if you’ve got something I should read!I’m not a high fantasy, sword and sorcery fan. Ditto for Dune style sci-fi. I am awed at the skill required to write it but don’t enjoy reading it right now. I am currently enjoying magical realism, upbeat sci-fi, urban fantasy and HEA Romance.
