ArmorSo i went to a big reenactment event this year, and for that i wanted more period fitting armor, namely a new breastplate, since period correct ones are extremely expensive, i decided to buy a very cheap pseudohistorical plate and rework it, yes the product is suboptimal, but it is far closer to where i wanted it to go than buying a cheap one for my period and still cheaper, buy costing me just 120 bucks and 6 hours of work, and maybe 2 hours of watching armor making videos on youtube, essentualy i just shortened a standart cuirassier breastplaten, rolled the top decorated it with a chisel, cut it at the stomach ight so it has a overlap, and is sitting on my waist not my hips. and then ir rechaped the rime, so i could attache selfmade lames to creat a lil plateskirt part that would protext my lower belly. it is suboptiomal in mobility and i can improve on thisalso what was nice is that i had all nessecary straps with the original plate i started with and didnt need to by anything additional, except the shetsteel for the lames and the rivets. overall i am very happy and plan to blacken the armor with linseed oil. wich will also enhance the munitions look it has, also the overlap and the upper rolled edge make the breastplate portiona ndexpectedly stiff, despite just having 1,2 mm of steel its would bent or dent. and i plan on adding tassets for leb protectionso i made myself a 1530s munitions great breastplate.#armor #knight #middleages #rennaissance #crafts

why is it so hard to get that both sounds are genocidal maniacs, it's just a tragedy in the making no matter the action taken, therefore i would do what ever costs europeans the least
