       Feeling bad for Omocat because of what’s been happening these days….        @comrade_lecter the stuff the others said is true but there’s been more stuff people are giving her shit over now. She made a joke 10+ years ago about “I wish I was a drifloon so I could steal children.” Again- ten years ago. She also made a lot of tweets which make me think she wasn’t just a shotacon and that she might be a map. She said she was crushing on her crush from like kindergarten or something I dunno.        I wanted to talk about something that’s been bugging me. There’s like… a LOT of ageism in proship-centered communities. I find it concerningGenerally it feels like the majority of the proship community, at least the parts I have experience with, are very hostile towards minorsIt’s kind of a never ending cycle? They often complain that antis tend to be minors, while at the same time being extremely hostile towards minors, which means minors are more welcomed in anti communities

       A lot of them also push for a separation between “adult”and “minor”spaces,and while I understand their motivations to some degree,I think it would have an extremely negative affect to limit proship/dark fiction spaces to adultsMinors may also cope with or enjoy dark fiction, and may also need support systems of like-minded peopleIf these spaces become adult only,those minors will be isolated and suppress the things they enjoy because they arentaccepted in the spaces with people like them
