@project1enigma Declines come from the card issuer and can happen for various reasons. You should contact your card's issuer to find out more and, with any luck, solve the problem.

@suguru Commits have been and will remain sparse for a while because I'm working on a big rewrite.I only announced this in https://github.com/liberapay/salon/issues/541#issuecomment-1420578433 when I started. Maybe it's time to open a dedicated issue in the main repository.

@c0nfigurati0n Because when you make a card payment you immediately see the result. The success and failure notifications were created to inform donors of the results of bank debits (which take days to settle) and automatic card charges.

New ways to explore Liberapay accounts are now available.- https://liberapay.com/explore/recipients lists accounts which receive donations, sorted by income amount or account creation date.- https://liberapay.com/explore/hopefuls lists users who are hoping to receive their first donations, sorted by account creation date.- https://liberapay.com/explore/repositories has gained sorting options, so for example you can see the most recently connected repositories.(The sorting options are at the bottom of the pages.)

Liberapay now supports selecting which countries you accept donations from: https://liberapay.com/about/me/edit/countriesThis is primarily intended for users who are legally obligated to accept donations only from specific countries or inversely to reject donations from specific countries (e.g. Finnish individuals not allowed to collect donations from #Finland).This feature was first requested almost exactly 6 years ago: https://github.com/liberapay/liberapay.com/issues/1102

We have a couple of changes to announce regarding the payment methods available to donors on Liberapay.The good news is that card payments can now be processed through France's “Cartes Bancaires” network.The bad news is that direct debits of Euro bank accounts are now only supported when the donation recipient is in one of the 32 European countries supported by Stripe. The page https://liberapay.com/about/global has been improved to reflect the limitations of non-European Stripe accounts.

The number of currencies supported by Liberapay has jumped from 32 to 133!Only 22 currencies are supported when paying with PayPal, so the improvement is almost exclusively for payments processed by Stripe.If you use Liberapay as a donor, you might want to modify your donations to use your local currency: https://liberapay.com/about/me/givingIf you use Liberapay as a recipient, you might want to change which currencies you accept or which one you prefer: https://liberapay.com/about/me/edit/currencies
