Thought: Maybe, just maybe, the Kiwi Farms being down for a week while Josh takes care of family things will be enough of a pause in the cat-and-mouse game that the bitter castrati on the other side get bored and find something else to get outraged about.I hope Josh takes as much time off from this shit as he needs, because as much as I want the Farms to be back, family always comes first - and given this, maybe the more time he takes off, the better in the long run. @AltisticRight Oh yes. I actually started a tiny homes thread on the Farms which discussed the various issues with them, including the shipping container ones. A really big one that you didn't mention is that metal is terrible at retaining heat, so without a bunch of insulation (reducing the space you have to live in), that thing's going to be way too hot in the summer and way too cold in the winter. Other materials (such as good old wood) are far better at insulating, which means less insulation needs to be added to make it livable. Cutting holes in them for doors and windows also weakens their structural integrity, so on top of the additional insulation, you may have to add support beams as well if you plan to have a roof on it and/or heavy snowfall. You're really better off just building with wood.Then, there's just the space issue - for all but the tiniest of tiny homes, a shipping container just isn't very livable. It's smaller than a medium-sized RV. So many shipping container home plans will actually use two or three of the things, so now you're cutting massive holes in the things and welding them together. Another interesting thing about the Boxabl is that it ships in the size of a shipping container, but on site it unfolds to be twice as wide.Also, no matter how insulated one of those things might be on the inside, I don't think I'd want to be inside one in a thunderstorm…Shipping containers are for shipping things, not living in!

@Ashalam @AltisticRight Ah… By “Twitter” I meant “Twitch.” Still, that’s interesting if true - I seem to remember hearing about them working on some sort of “premium tweets” thing where major users could open up paid subscriptions to their feeds and make tweets which are only visible to subscribers. Porn wouldn’t be the only use for it but you could definitely see it being used for that.
