       @aral This is why I can’t stand people getting mad about US politics being in their face, as if they are in some untouchable walled garden. Likewise, Americans need to see what’s happening elsewhere and care. Fascists are getting on planes and having meetings around the world. It’s a privilege to completely shut out politics. Those being harmed can’t do that, and need others to put on their courage pants and get in the discomfort with them until we can all crawl out together.

       @UROCKlive1 Every time the MyPillow guy makes the news, I think about how a former “friend” from years ago thought I was “Satanic” for suggesting this “good Christian man” was a fraud and grifter. And then I laugh.

       And another thing… If you’re a white person who refuses to acknowledge that #Native nations are sovereign political entities with self-determination and critical cultural knowledge, not simply racial groups, you shouldn’t be allowed to raise #Indigenous children. Period.

       I got bit by a spider. I threw up, had a fever, and my finger turned red and swelled up. But after a week, things are much better, and I have finally stopped wanting to chop off my entire hand due to the severe itching. Yep.        @futurebird Lots of people with neuromuscular diseases and joint issues love touch controls, because physical buttons are often made way too difficult to press at all or cause pain in doing so. And yet, as evidenced by other comments here, other disabilities need physical buttons. This is why things should be designed with options and/or better designs that serve multiple needs!

       Neither membership in another marginalized group nor being a parent of a child with a #disability makes you immune to being #ableist or excuses use of #ableism. Heck, being disabled doesn’t even work as a pass.So if you’re saying ableist things/slurs, and get called on it, just stop. You’re not the victim because you’ve been challenged. You’re wrong. Change.And allies, please stop letting the burden of these online and irl confrontations lie solely with #disabled people. It’s exhausting.
