@futurebird "with the right legal framework..."If you make it open source and decentralized, you won't need to worry as much about the legal framework. LJ actually did have teachers and classes using it, as well as journalists, artists, professional cartoonists, etc. Of course you get the same potential problems as Mastodon, but you also get the same potential solutions. And honestly, Mastodon is hardly ideally optimized as far as moderation is concerned.

Imagine someone's business model having so little respect for you and your friends that they bury the posts that mean something to you in 4x the amount of fake content, in order to force you to waste your time and be exposed to more ads.This is late stage, dying social media energy, where they feel compelled to hold your friends list hostage, while exposing you to garbage news and FoxNews'esque outrage porn clickbait.

@Nonilex While the unidentified Russian sources might be close with Putin enough to have an idea what he's thinking, they're foolish if they think Russian war production is all that impressive.Artillery only causes about 15% of the wounds on the battlefield. Meanwhile, drones cause about 75%... and Russia doesn't have the lead in drones. Their milbloggers routinely mention how far outnumbered they are when it comes to drones. Meanwhile, Russia's gains have slowed considerably.

@cwebber Impressive... but the actual news article about shepherd tries to be simple, but WILL NOT MAKE SENSE to anyone not familiar with the tech.What the tech does matters, as does the ability to explain it to the general public. Find a grandmother with no knowledge of the tech, and explain it to her until she understands this AND can explain it back to you, or ask relevant questions regarding it. And rewrite using that process as a guide, until you can explain it to anyone.

@futurebird I had a bit of a realization recently...I was having a hard time writing something creative as a project,but that improved after I changed my internal thoughts about who I was writing it to.What worked for me was writing it as a letter to a lover and friend.You, of course, might respond differently though, depending on personality and circumstances.Who can you write your book to?
