We ordered a large thing online. The order form said they can’t deliver to a post box, so we faked an apartment address. (Post box number, then street address of post office.) Thought we’d see what they’d do.Courier company phoned, said hey! We have your item, can’t deliver to post office. Can we leave it at this local business for you to pick up? Oh yes, yes, please do. A restaurant we used to go to in Soho (London, England) had the odd habit of seating strangers together. We’d begin the meal with just the two of us at the table, but then two random strangers would be seated with us at our booth. Or we’d arrive and find the restaurant looking pretty full, but there would be space for us at somebody else’s table, so we’d be put there.I loved this; we met such interesting people. I often wonder if any other restaurants do this. Do you know of any?
