With over 90 book reviews on my channel, a master's degree in creative writing, subscribers who've followed me for a while who STILL don't know my politics because I don't use them in critique or discussion, and open LOVE for the arts, this is why I have a hard time taking EJ base seriously. Because I can present a conversation about his book like I do for ANY other book, and immediately I will be personally attacked, everything is considered political, and my politics are assumed just for being critical.A book review isn't that serious, says someone who has received them and critique; who has also received personal insults because someone didn't like my book. I understand there is a lot of vitriol between EJ fans and people who don't like him; this is the kind of thing that creates MORE, because there's an assumption that EVERYONE is either for or against you. Let me correct you. Once your books get OUT of your fanbase, and reach a DIFFERENT audience (which is the purpose of marketing), you'll get different opinions and people who don't know and don't care about your beef. You don't help people you're fond of by treating people like this.Not everything is a personal attack and it's people like this who look like they don't ever go outside, but instead, traded their lives to join a political cult.
