       @robpikeSad news. The Mythical Man Month was an incredibly influential book. It certainly informed my management style. I still quote it today (“Always plan to build a prototype. You will anyway, so you might as well plan for it”).

       @futurebird What weirds me out is that email has been decentralised with multiple ‘instances’ for decades, and nobody thinks that’s strange. Why can’t people see that such a model is also completely possible for social media? 🤷#mastodon#JohnMastodon

       Make no mistake, downplaying Covid is a *political* choice.As usual, myopic focus  on ‘the economy’ in the short term is driving all policy, never mind the public health implications or the long-term damage to everything.Can democracy really not do better than this?
