#tfg had the kind of day he deserves yesterday. His pick lost in the #Senate. His organization was convicted of fraud. Grand jury subpoenas went out in his prosecution. The house has his tax returns. The #January6 committee has said it will recommend criminal charges. Ridicule for his talk of suspending the constitution and his choice of dinner guests is not relenting. Talk is rising in the #GOP about his future. Great stuff.

@hyde I still have a #gpg key but my own efforts to set up keysigning parties in various cities over the years have all struck out. This should have caught on, but didn't. I wonder if it has a future.

I see that #duckduckgo now has its own browser. Is anyone else trying it out? #privacy I am pretty happy with #firefox but duckduckgo is my default search engine and so I thought it is worth comparing.

On #mastodon I missed my peeps from the bird site but soon found this much more interesting. With no #algorithm to send stuff my way, I followed lots of #hashtags. I follow several thousand people now. My feed is a river. Lately I have been using #lists and the result is that I can select Thinkers, Wary, BC, Cdnpol, USPol, MidEast, Books, Law, Libre Tech, Fediverse, Photos or any other list I build. When I browse a list I see the positive results of my home built algorithm. #fediverse

BTW, something handy about lists is that you can have people on multiple lists so someone might be on my News list and also on my Ukraine list.

I can't read my time line as fast as it rolls by so I miss seeing lots of posts. When I look at a particular list though, since there are only a few users on a list, the time line I see goes back much further and is very focussed. This is important when I have been away for a day or two.

The system now lets the user decide, for each list, whether posts from its members appear in or are excluded from display in home timeline.
