When there is such a coordinated smear campaign against #China by the West (led by the #US, who have allocated $500 million to ensure negative coverage of China), it is no surprise to find that those who only give cursory attention to #media are ignorant of the reality of China.

@paul I remember the #US had a tantrum over #Russia placing missiles in Cuba in 1963 (in response to US nuclear missiles already being placed in Turkey). Fortunately, at that time, both leaders - Kennedy and Khrushchev - recognized that no-one likes having such weapons on their borders, within a distance which cannot be defended against, and both agreed to withdraw those weapons. The US could sure use another JFK today.

Not unexpected, as there are very strict controls over the information flow from there, leaving people in the West flooded with pro-Ukraine narratives - narratives that do not accord with the facts reported by journalists and others on the ground in the region. And yes, the UN has sided with the US on this issue. They often do the bidding of the US, so UN reports do not necessarily indicate objectivity.For a few other reports (not from "Russian TV presenters", and not in the UN reports) see the following. I have limited these to pro-Western sources, and excluded the dozens of far more detailed accounts provided by journalists actually living in the region, as I suspect you would reject these for not being impartial. That sure makes it easy to dismiss any contradictory evidence to the Bucha propaganda event, doesn't it? As I have said more than enough times now, if you want to stay one-eyed about this, it's your choice. There are many others like you. But it doesn't seem productive to have a discussion with so wholeheartedly committed to a very questionable narrative. Even evidence from your own preferred sources does not agree with your interpretation. Here ends the discussion that never even got past the most basic propaganda.

@bluewave_kiwi The original source of the story is actually Mikhail Bondar, a member of the Ukrainian parliament, at a closed-door session of the parliamentary investigative commission on fortifications, according to multiple media reports. I suspect it was also reported in RT, but if you instantly dismiss all information simply because it was also in RT you are avoiding any semblance of objectivity. Face facts. Criticise Russia and support Ukraine all you like, but please do so logically, and use evidence, not absurd claims from Western propaganda.

I nor anyone else is trying to "suppress and extinguish undesired languages and cultures" by doing this, any more than I am trying to "extinguish German language and culture" by not using umlauts., or French by not using graves and accents. Or Spanish by neglecting the tilde.
