       @thenewoil Far from perfect, look at Europe's GDPR which before Brexit replaced the UK's Data Protection Act.UNFORTUNATELY the current lot (Conservative by name, Fascist by nature) are trying to force through an "Online Harms Act" which effectively would destroy rights just as they have destroyed the right to silence and are trying to end rights to strike and protest.#HumanRights #CivilLiverties #DataPrivact #Freedom

       @thenewoil Folks, even if you are not #HearingImpaired or #SpeechImpaired, there is a lot to be said for #WrittenCommunication I am #SI & #HI so use various transcription & Relay services.One company terminated an IRC  because I had reverted to #AllCaps - they were being infuriating and insisting on using a phone EVEN AFTER I had explained I CANNOT use them.I disable #MicrophoneAccess on ALL tech and have a Smart TV WITHOUT camera OR mic.Think of it as #AudioVPN.
