So the face masks that we got have long strands instead of loops at each of the corners to tie together behind your head/ears/horns/tendrils/whathaveyous... which is highly useful, but they have zero stretch, so you have to tie and untie them every single time you want to adjust or remove the mask.I cannibalized an old con badge that had one of these things on them, permanently tied the upper and lower cords together once I threaded them through the hole, and now I can easily put on, adjust, and remove the mask... It still catches my hair in strands if I haven't put it in ponytails, but beyond that this works wonderfully!

So!Pictures of the non-profit art place that we went to in Sheboygan. The owner is a former social worker, and the intent of the space is so that lower-income families can have a safe place to come and do art or purchase supplies without marked up sales prices. Most, if not all, of the materials are donated (they do not have an open donation page set up yet, due to legal filings still not finalized).I LOVE the concept!

@fribbledom Amazing, in'nit? If folks ACTUALLY wash their hands far more freqvently instead of just not doing it, and actively try to stay distanced from folks who are noticeably coughing and such, it helps.

Do you have gender? It's ok. Many of us either do or did at one time. It's a somewhat common thing, really.Did you know that you do not need to keep your current gender if it's not working well for you?You can have more gender... less gender... no gender... all the...... well, no, you can't have all the gender. I mean, save some gender for others that may want some...Point is, you get to choose how much and what type(s) of gender you want, and you get to choose how you want to express it.Yes! You do!! Yes, you!!!

@Hayling I would prefer green leggings and shoes so that Geodude could be green-screened without legs, but I appreciate this sentiment!

I do not make any AprilFool jokes that are any better or worse than my normal jokes. I mean, I just told y'all that you were a kobold, yesterday, so... that's the bar, right there...

The week prior, in Indianapolis, we went to a barcade near the Capitol called Tappers (yes, they did have a Tapper game, there), and they had some really great old cabinets that were photo-worthy because I haven't seen the classic red NES-pyramid cab in decades, and I'd never seen a cocktail Joust or Tempest cabinet in working condition, before!

@trevorflowers I've mostly been a shop rat/machinist for about 30 years now. A big modern issue with training on the job is that a lot of shops simply don't.They train their workers to push button - get part, do a light inspection on the part if it's batch work, but it's all centered around pieces per hour and not actually learning. If an insert tool starts chipping out and breaking far more than normal for a given job, the worker doesn't ask why is it doing this, because that's not their job, it's for the engineers to fix... and that's a huge difference between how trade jobs used to be.You were taught, back then, the why. Multiple, possible whys. What else to notice and look for. Why different speeds and feeds mattered, how to check the alignment of the tool holders, how to look for warning signs before there's an actual issue.Now... push button, get part, change inserts when the chart tells you to. Don't change the programs, that's for the engineers. It's cheaper for the companies, because they can keep push-button operators pay low. The entire way we look at trade jobs needs reviewing. We used to be far more skilled, all around.
