Peace is not a fairy tale or utopian fantasy, for it has its basis in reality and the nature of the world, for we will reap what we sow.

The world is trying to grapple with the events of the past few months in the Middle East, but this is nothing new. Our present situation has a powerful connection to events of the past and the prophecy of Daniel about the Seleucid Empire’s attempts to dominate Judea. And the question of good and evil is still the one that should be foremost in our minds. God warns us of the consequences of falling prey to the idea that good and evil are relative, or that good is evil and evil is good. Scripture also warns us that there is a price to pay if we do not resist the evil or if we fail to give aid to those who would otherwise be destroyed by evil. The prophetic message of Chanukah from Christ’s perspective is both a warning to not be deceived by the evil and an encouragement to rededicate ourselves to God and the way of truth during this winter time of Dedication.http://cogwebcast.com/sermons/video-archives/chanukahs-message-present-past-future-resist-evil/http://www.cogwebcast.comhttps://rumble.com/c/c-1238254https://www.minds.com/JudeoChristian/https://odysee.com/@JudeoChristian:59dafee676c47dae75ce1f9db7bc0c7bc10e5883https://www.youtube.com/user/cogwebcasthttps://www.facebook.com/pg/cogwebcast/posts/

Understanding the history of the people of God through the ages gives us perspective and helps us to discern the signs of the times. God wants us to remember the lessons of history and consider the lives of those individuals who remained faithful to God in perilous times.History and prophecy inform us of God’s plan and give us vision so we can make those daily choices that will produce good fruit in our lives. Let us consider the history behind the Feast of Dedication that was celebrated by God’s people during the time of Jesus Christ’s ministry.View the video series:http://cogwebcast.com/sermons/video-archives/chanukah-feast-dedication-christians-know

https://youtu.be/12j8FjHfZv0The Authentic Gospel & The MessiahThe biblical writers, Jude, Paul, and John, encouraged believers to “fight for the faith once delivered.” They urged their readers to recapture the authentic gospel — what was understood from the beginning. Do you know that gospel? …In this festive winter season it would seem that many have never known ‘primitive’ Christianity. Or, they have forgotten the authentic gospel message.

It is challenging to navigate in our present world of extremes. But scriptures tell us there is a time and place for all things — a season for everything. The question is how do we discern the best course of action at the right time and place.Consider the lessons that we can derive from God’s perspectives on the lives of Naboth and Ahab, or Gedaliah and Johanan. God counsels us to achieve an artful balance in all we do so we can have emotional and spiritual stability.Paul gives us godly advice about how to set our priorities so that we might live a temperate life that honours God and encourages others. Listen to his words of wisdom about self-mastery and moderation and be inspired in your walk with God.https://cogwebcast.com/sermons/video-archives/seasons-for-everything/http://www.cogwebcast.comhttps://rumble.com/c/c-1238254https://www.minds.com/JudeoChristian/https://odysee.com/@JudeoChristian:59dafee676c47dae75ce1f9db7bc0c7bc10e5883https://www.youtube.com/user/cogwebcasthttps://www.facebook.com/pg/cogwebcast/posts/“

Paul in writing to Timothy warned against becoming one of those people who had once believed but had turned away from the faith because they had been misled by hypocritical religious leaders. Recently, a major 'Christian' denomination has moved from the doctrinal position of 'God does not bless sin' to a more politically acceptable stance of 'God does not turn away anyone." These are irreconcilable concepts. In fact, this antinomian reasoning seems to fall into the category of the 'way of Balaam' that Peter and John told believers to avoid. So what was Balaam's way and why is it still so destructive? What did that ancient soothsayer do and how is his example instructive to Christians who desire to walk with God?https://cogwebcast.com/sermons/video-archives/coming-to-god-against-his-will/

Yes, if we do not have scripture, the Word of God, as our foundation and spiritual compass we will become adrift and easily subverted by a host of different ideologies.

JudeoChristianmore_horiz@JudeoChristian·11sIn our lifetime we have experienced conditions that were prophesied by Paul, Jude and Peter. We have lived through the rise and collapse of church organizations often the result of infighting, divisions and discontent among elders and brethren. It is at such times, when the church institutions and the world around us is crumbling into chaos, that we need to reflect on those foundational concepts that help us to continue to walk in faith with God.Here are some questions to ponder:Are we thoroughly grounded in the scripture with a sure knowledge of the conditions in the 'latter days' so we will not be overthrown in times of apostasy? Are we standing firm in the truth so we will not be deceived by the ungodly, no matter what 'miracles' they claim to perform? Are we committed to God and acting sincerely and without hypocrisy so that we are living our faith and patiently growing in love? Are we convicted of the assurances that God gives us that blessings will come if we are walking with our Shepherd as he leads us in the good way?Is our hope in God's promised gift of eternal life unshakeable, and does it motivate us to do the good works that the Father has called us to perform?Take a few minutes to join us and consider the words of exhortation from the scriptures that will help us in our walk of faith.https://cogwebcast.com/sermons/still-faithful-after-all-these-years/

https://youtu.be/7U0PqP7elnMBe Careful What You SayChrist, the Lord of our lives, wants us to be prepared to give an answer to others. The Lord is our shelter and sanctuary. When men ask us questions about our faith, we are to respond as if we were in God’s presence. For, we will have to give account to the Lord for our words. We are his ambassadors. The answer we give is to be an “apologia” — a well reasoned-argument with compelling proof. The Lord is asking us to be prepared to give a logical defence. But there is more to it than an intellectual response.
