I worked on a year-long project at work & got a nice recognition a few weeks ago, which came with a gift card $ amount. But you must spend the money in the catalog of the prize management firm. You can't get things like gasoline cards, which would really help me right now. Nope. Handbags, sporting goods, clothing. I need those things like I need a hole in my head. I'll probably end up seeing if I can give the prize to charity.

Another 'how to deal with 'airborne virus' season!' article from my healthcare provider. And I doubt you'll be surprised that they don't mention wearing masks at all. 'Wash your hands! Stay home if you're sick! Sneeze into a hanky!' I don't get why they wouldn't mention masks; it's clear that masks can help reduce transmission of things like 'flu, RSV, and COVID; are they afraid of the reactionaries? Why bother saying anything, then?
