@leo Better yet, let’s start calling these proprietary podcasts what they are - shows. Joe Rogan has a Spotify show, not a podcast. It’s no different than if we had a show on NBC, ABC, CBS, etc.

@glennf Agreed. It's the for-profit, centralized mindset. Mastodon doesn't have to be profitable or take over the world. We use it and enjoy it. In my eyes it's already a success. We also don't have to worry about it being taken over or filing for bankruptcy due to "failure."

@leo it changed mine as well. Having a dedicated channel for people like us was incredibly validating. I felt the same way about the radio show. I still miss TechTV terribly.
