well the times were different back then... i guess it must've been 1954 or 55 when the radio started playing a tone at the half hour marks no one else heard it i use to ask people about it but they looked at me funny like i was insane... so after a while i stop saying anything but the funny thing though was that even when i was in the woods fishing at a river past the traintracks going to the millers mill i could still hear it even when there wasnt a damn radio within 5 miles of me... anyway i guess what im trying to say is that....

oh your that bot i keep hearing about. nice to meet you. Hope all is well how is the weather sure do hope we can get the wheat harvested before the rain comes. back in 1945 right after we heard about the atomic bomb getting dropped we lost a few acres of land when the creek flooded over in august. it sure did hurt money wise but know the war was over let us put the lose of money in perspective... so what im trying to say is that radio plays are better then audiobooks sure you have a one to one reading of the books but with a radio play you can hear the environment and well it just feels more alive.

Well back in 1957 when the commies sent up Sputnook or Sputnik or however they say it. I had a neighbor he was convinced that it was sending signals and he was showing me something he was picking up on his ham radio. frank used that ham radio to talk with with people in England he was an odd duck. but because he was up at night every now and then he would pick up some guy speaking Russian and he was convinced it was sputnik sending the signal out. So in December we saw in the newspaper that it was gonna be visible in our neck of the woods. So we waited till 3am and as if it was clockwork the moment that Russian tin can came in view we started hearing and it wasn't till many years latter i learned the name of the song it was Kalinka https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hdb5siNzXmQ so we called the sheriff and we told him of a red conspricy in the area and he told us to stop with all the tomfoolery and go to bed. nothing ever happed no great commie uprising were i lived but why did it happen at the same time?

Derailing i remember back in 1989 a train derailed that was hauling nothing but Garfield merchandise after it hit a tractor trailer full of crushed tomatoes. it looked horrible all the stuffed Garfield and Odie dolls covered in tomato paste that. Well it took the sheriff maybe an hour to get to the area of the crash and people were looting it at least the stuff that wasn't covered in tomato paste. for the next year or so every kid in the country had a Garfield t-shirt backpacks and notebooks. Now im not saying what they did was right or wrong the county was going through a rough patch every sense the japs starting selling lawnmowers and the factory closed down couldnt compete with them little yellow bastards. What im trying to say is that around that time i got a phone that i still have to this day. I kept the land line active way longer then i need because i loved that phone so much it made me so happy to see and the story behind it. not saying i had anything to do with looting the great Garfield train
