Yay, I managed to implement QRC support in HsQML.This was only possible because of qmetaobject-rs's readable implementation from which I could find out how the internal binary format works.

Cleaned it up a bit more now. If anyone here has more knowledge of Haskell than me (which is likely), please feel free to propose code improvements :) https://codeberg.org/jbb/HsQML/pulls/1

I switched to Plasma Wayland again, and this time I'm happy with it! Everything I need seems to work now. This is probably not a huge surprise to you, but it's still a nice development.

I miss the little jumping startup icon animation a bit though, but that's missing protocol support I think.

@ChristopheHerbet No, this time just about the good old Plasma Desktop.debian-pm has received an updated Plasma version too though, I haven't tested it on a device yet, though.

@werwolf No, UEFI is just a standard way to boot, it can be implemented in different ways, although most things just use edk2, which is BSD-licensed.As far as I know even many UEFI implementations found on PCs and laptops are based on edk2, but the port for that specific mainboard is not open-sourced because the BSD license doesn't require that.

@Hanuwu Every time I think about buying a larger SSD, it turns out I have hundreds of gigabyte of free storage after deleting the cargo cache + all target directories.

std::span would be so awesome to abstract over old Qt APIs that return QList instead of QVector. Unfortunately we still have C++17 in most of KDE, and probably with good reasons.

I got the chance to contribute a feature to an existing open source project as part of my uni studies during this semester. Ideally the project would be an end-user project, not a library, and not something that I'm already contributing to anyway.Language-wise, C++, Rust or Haskell would be nice.Do you know any projects that would fit?My own idea are a bit too KDE-centric, but the point of this module is to contribute somewhere I'm not already part of.

Twitter is so useless for having proper conversations. Pleeease Twitter just let me write what I want without whining about the artificial character limit. At least it's a lot better here on Mastodon.

@tbernard The issue is actually caused by the opposite problem. Since there is no style set at all, Qt falls back to a fallback style that is barely visible. I have already reported this to QGnomePlatform, so they can hopefully set some sane defaults there. The alternative is handling this fallback in every app, but that is pretty annoying to do for each app.

@fluepke Signal wirkt auf mich irgendwie oft wie 3 kompetente Kryptographen + ein paar random web developer, was irgendwie schade ist.
