@fcktheworld587 @atheistbot Dairy intolerance is a prime example. We only ever had dairy in our diets as infants from breastfeeding, but then started farming and using animal milk well past infanthood. Our bodies then had to evolve to continue producing lactase to properly digest and absorb dairy. Its a mutuation when people can, and dairy intolerance is because evolution doesnt happen to all the people all at once. Evolution :)

@cattailnu He looked at the card in his hand. Death. He knew it’s meaning; the beginning of a new life. But he already felt so worn that the concept of beginning again terrified him. That’s why he had come to this old abandoned place that he felt a kinship to in ways that became more apparent the longer he stared at that card in his hand. He had been drawn here, and now knew what he had to do. He would rather die here than start again, alone, in that poncy retirement home!

@atheistbot The reason I love science so much is because if those far, far smarter than me can say 'we don't really know' without ego and faith getting in the way, I trust them a hell of a lot more when they DO know the answer to something.

@ItsTrainingCatsAndDogs This generation :birdheart: My 12 yr old reliably informs me that it is considered rude not to check someones pronouns when you first meet. They have an LGBTQA+ lunch club at school. (UK, a lot easier here right now). She came out to her class as gay, to a round of applause, when she was 10.The kids get it.We just need to get rid of the old bastards that don't.
